Zedd is currently seeking to fill the following positions:
Office Manager
Zedd Architecture is looking for an office manager with a minimum 3 years experience to join our dynamic firm. Zedd Architecture practices in SW Ontario with a strong focus in multi-unit residential architecture work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and adept at participating in the various roles and responsibilities required within an architectural practice to facilitate the smooth operation of the office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accounting – Manage and facilitate the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting functions. These functions include monthly timesheet approvals, invoicing, banking, statements, paying accounts and management reporting.
- Finance – Manage and facilitate the strategic planning process including AGMs, reporting, strategy development and company valuations. Facilitate tax filing, liability insurance renewals and staff benefits administration.
- Operations – Assist with project management and proposal and contract management.
- Human Resources – Manage and facilitate on/over-boarding, staff review, legal compliance, health and safety and event management processes. Facilitate Director and Shareholder education and compliance.
- Office Admin – Develop, document and maintain all business management procedures and processes as needed. Facilitate company meetings (except Shareholders AGM) including management, finance, marketing, projects and strategic planning meetings. Manage and maintain the company calendar and office email accounts, maintain the house-keeping aspects of the office including supplies, cleaning and garbage removal. Facilitate various company events such as lunch and learns, team meetings and special events. Participate in special projects at the request of the company directors and officers.
- Sales and Marketing – Manage and facilitate the CRM client relationship management process to support business development, marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Information Technology – be responsible for supporting various office management software applications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a business or professional office with 5 or more employees
- Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced Excel and Word
- Ability to work in small team and multi-task on a variety of projects
- Drivers License with ability to travel to various supplier locations on occasion
- Ability to work at the office. This is not a remote or hybrid position
- Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada
Assets
- Diploma or degree in Business Management or a related field
- Experience with BQE Core, Quickbooks, Dext and Ninety software
- Experience with Dashlane or similar password keeping software
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and One Note software
- Experience with 3rd-party payroll software
- Experience with event management

Architectural Technologist Full-time Permanent
Zedd Architecture is looking for an architectural technologist with min. 5 years professional experience to join our
growing and dynamic firm.
Zedd Architecture practices in SW Ontario with a strong focus in multi-unit residential architecture work. We are steps away from many amenities and easily accessible by bike, public transportation and car. The studio is open concept and represents our collaborative approach to our work.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and adept at participating in the various roles and responsibilities within an architectural practice that are required to deliver projects from initial concept through construction documents and contract admin.
We work hard, love what we do, are ambitious, dedicated and looking for talent to add to our team to provide exceptional service to our clientele and fulfill our moto of design excellence at any scale.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Works as a team lead / member on projects from conception to completion under the principal in charge.
- Prepare and submit applications to authorities having jurisdiction for approvals.
- Manage the design and building permit / contract documents meeting milestones and deadlines.
- Oversee the coordination and implementation of consultants with the contract documents.
- Undertake responsibility for contract administration procedures both office and field functions.
- Maintain knowledge concerning construction contracts, practices, products, codes and technology.
- Multiple projects undertaken simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Architectural Technology.
- Min. 5 years of experience in professional Architect’s office with a diversified range of project types.
- Must be proficient in Revit.
- Must have a strong understanding of the OBC.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of building systems, building science and construction detailing in a cold climate.
- Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in small team and multi-task on a variety of projects.
- Drivers License with ability to travel to job sites on occasion.
Assets
- Familiarity with city approval process including urban design and zoning requirements, site plan approval and building permit process.
- High building project experience.
- Familiarity with high performance building design and detailing (Passive House, Net Zero, Energy Star etc.)
- Experience in creating company templates and Revit families.
- Achievement of professional credentials will be considered; LEED, BCIN, Member of AATO, OAA, etc.
- Preference given to local applicants.
