With a heritage building in the center of the one acre site the challenge was to design an additional 18 townhome units of 2 and 3-storeys while respecting the historical nature of the existing building. Underground parking with direct unit access eliminates the necessity for parking and garages at grade, providing a unique pedestrian only development at grade. This has allowed for a large internal landscaped courtyard surrounded by elevated terraces. The design respects the heritage home with complimentary brick aligning at 2-storeys with partial third storey areas clad in a light coloured panel.
